on the border between the seen and the unseen
somewhere in the middle
Artist’s Statement
My practice unfolds in the tension between two directions: iconography and contemporary art, between formal accuracy and subjective expression. Positioning myself at this intersection, both the process and the meaning of my works find their source in a continuous movement and perfection of my own lifestyle and faith.
The reality I experience can be expressed by the notions of peace, hope, constancy and a continuous relationship with God, the Creator of the seen and the unseen.
Within this framework, my main area of research is angelology. Through iconographic and contemporary visual languages, I explore ways to make the invisible perceptible, especially with the help of colors and gestures, often spontaneous.
Thus, I try to bring to the forefront the angels who occupy an intermediate space, located between worlds, offering orientation towards the light and remaining inherently elusive.
